Our standard consultation is for one pet for 15 minutes. Please book a double consultation for behavioural problems, quality of life discussions, or multiple pets - as we don't like to rush you, or to overrun and delay the next appointment.
Your first visit for any condition, or a recurrence of a condition which has not been seen recently.
For second or subsequent consultations about a previous and ongoing condition, or for a second pet booked at the same time as a first consultation with another pet.
You can book to see one of our qualified nurses for nail clipping, anal gland expression, behavioural advice, nutritional advice and support, second vaccinations (where we have also done the first vaccination) and microchipping.
All vaccinations include a nose-to-tail health check with a vet and any advice necessary. Please note that if any treatment is prescribed at a vaccination appointment this is chargeable separately.
Your new puppy needs a set of vaccinations against Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Leptospirosis. Our Puppy Pack includes the full course of injections, a nose-to-tail health check, a prescription-strength flea and worming treatment, five weeks free insurance (subject to eligibility), and microchipping.
Annual health check with a vet and booster vaccination as appropriate. We follow a three year protocol, which means instead of using all vaccine components every year, we use the most appropriate vaccine according to risk levels.
Intranasal Kennel Cough Vaccine, which can be given at the same time as a booster.
Your kitten needs to be vaccinated against several respiratory viruses (cat flu), enteritis and viral leukaemia. Our Kitten Pack includes the full course of injections, a nose-to-tail health check, a prescription-strength flea and worming treatment, five weeks free insurance (subject to eligibility), and microchipping.
Annual health check with a vet and booster for flu enteritis and leukaemia (if appropriate).
Annual health check with a vet and vaccination for myxomatosis, RHD1 and RHD2.
All of our neutering prices include a pre-op health check (including blood test if appropriate), fluids, surgery, pain relief at the time and to go home with where required, and are covered by our 14 days Post-op Guarantee (see FAQs).
Full ovariectomy or ovariohysterectomy, complete and irreversible sterilisation, from 6 months of age. Reduces the risk of mammary cancers and eliminates the risk of potentially fatal pyometra in older bitches.
Can be done from approximately 6 months of age. However, for larger breed dogs and those with behavioural issues we may recommend waiting longer, or in some cases we may advise chemical castration as an alternative.
Can be done from approximately 12 weeks, or earlier in the case of feral cats. For cats who have had kittens they must have finished producing milk.
Can be done from approximately 12 weeks, or earlier in the case of feral cats.
We are happy to accept neutering contribution vouchers issued by local Cats Protection branches as part payment towards the standard cost of cat neutering.
Please contact the nearest branch, Warrington Cat Centre, on 03000 12 06 12 to confirm eligibility and obtain a hard-copy voucher.
Please note the National Subsidised Neutering Scheme, which enabled eligible clients to have their cat neutered and microchipped for a contribution of £10 per cat, has been suspended until at least the end of 2024.
If your pet is unwell, we may need to perform some tests to figure out what is going on. The following list will give you an idea of possible costs, but be aware that there are many more tests and investigations we can do!
We have a lab suite which enables us to do many blood tests in house, ranging from routine monitoring to more complicated investigations.
Prices shown are for routine samples carried out in house. Samples sent to an external lab may vary in price. Please ask if you need a price for a specific test.
Ultrasound is a useful diagnostic tool which can be used to check the size, shape and condition of internal organs, muscles and tendons. It may be performed with the animal conscious in most cases, but occasionally a light sedation may be required, for which there will be an additional charge.
Our qualified vet will use our high-spec ultrasound scanner to scan for pregnancy from 3 weeks post mating in dogs and cats. (Please ask for other species.) We can check the number of foetuses and for potential abnormalities and complications.
Our vet will also give your pet a thorough health check and offer advice on care throughout her pregnancy and beyond.
If we are unable to see or confirm pregnancy we offer one free repeat scan after 7 days.
We use a direct digital X-ray system which gives rapid, clear images. The price listed covers an initial batch of up to four X-ray images in one session. If more X-rays are required, these are charged at £150 for (up to) two additional images.
Please note dogs and cats will usually require sedation for X-rays to be performed (when not already anaesthetised for another procedure). Sedation costs an additional £85 for dogs and £65 for cats.
Performed by our highly-experienced senior vet and may include chest X-rays, in-house blood tests, ECG and ultrasound assessment of the heart.
Our dental and oral examination packages include pre-op bloods, dental X-rays, anaesthesia and a scale and polish, together with extractions and on the day post-op pain relief and antibiotics where required.
If your pet has a lump and you are worried it might be cancer, we can put your mind at rest quickly and easily by taking a needle biopsy. In most cases this can be done without sedation, however if sedation is required an additional charge of £85 for dogs or £65 for cats will apply. Results are usually available within 5-7 days.
