Dr. Vikki Moran BVSc PgCertSurg MRCVS - Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Vikki qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2002 and has worked in Winsford since 2011.


Vikki has over 20 years' experience as a small animal vet and was delighted to set up her own practice in Winsford in 2022.


Vikki has a post-graduate certificate in Small Animal Surgery, which helps us provide an extensive range of surgical proce

Vikki qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2002 and has worked in Winsford since 2011.


Vikki has over 20 years' experience as a small animal vet and was delighted to set up her own practice in Winsford in 2022.


Vikki has a post-graduate certificate in Small Animal Surgery, which helps us provide an extensive range of surgical procedures in-house at Salt House Vets.


Vikki has a multitude of pets of her own including three dogs, 10 cats, three turtles, four tortoises and many, many axolotls.

Becky qualified with Honours from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2020.


Becky then worked as a small animal vet in a variety of practices in the Midlands and Cheshire, before joining the Salt House Vets team in late 2024.


Becky is a qualified OV (Official Veterinarian) meaning she can complete Animal Health Certificates for our clie

Becky is kept on her toes by her lively young Australian Shepherd Dog, Bumble.

Dr. Rebecca Bygrave BVMS MRCVS

Rebecca qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2022 and went on to gain valuable experience working in a mixed practice in the far north of Scotland.


Rebecca swapped the Highlands for the equally beautiful, if less remote, Cheshire and joined the Salt House Vets team in September 2025.


Rebecca enjoys natural history and exploring the countryside with her faithful Staffy Cross, Bella.

Dr. Rebecca Bygrave BVMS MRCVS

Lex has been a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in the local area since 2014, and has worked in her family's dairy farm since a small child. 


Mum to two cheeky terriers, she has a real soft spot for scruffy little dogs!

Melissa Cox - RVN

Lucy is an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and has worked in a number of different practices across the UK, prior to joining the Salt House Vets team in 2024.


Lucy loves retrievers, and has two of her own - one Labrador and one Golden Retriever.

Melissa Cox - RVN

Mel has been a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) for over 15 years and has worked in a number of different practices across the UK.


Mel previously worked at Salt House Vets in 2024 and after a brief career change, realised she missed clinical life too much and rejoined the team in Spring 2025.

Amy is a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) and has been working with animals throughout her career. 


Amy has worked at Chester Zoo and in a specialist exotics practice, as well as another independent small animal practice in Cheshire.


Amy is particularly fond of cats, and has two of her own at home - Boo and Luna.

Frankie has been working in the veterinary industry since 2015, having previously worked in a funeral parlour!


Frankie studied Veterinary Care at Reaseheath College and previously worked with Vikki at another local practice, so we were very pleased when she was able to join the team in 2022. 


Frankie enjoys long walks with her family and Labrador, Nora.

Jason Astles - Receptionist

Meg joined the practice in August 2025, having completed her Zoology and Animal Management degree at Bangor University.  Prior to that, Meg studied Animal Management at Reaseheath College.


Meg is passionate about fostering and rehabilitating dogs, especially Westies, which her family have been involved in for many years. Meg also has two guinea pigs, Dill and Thyme.

Jason Astles - Receptionist

Jason has worked with animals for many years, having previously owned a pet shop, and having worked as a receptionist at vets in the local area.


Jason "enjoys" DIY and renovating houses, as well as spending time with his Pug, Olive.


An original member of the Salt House Vets team when it opened in 2022, we were delighted when Jason was able to return full-time with us in early 2025.

Tim Moran MA FCA - Finance Director / Practice Manager

Tim is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years experience in financial services and customer remediation, most recently in Finance Director roles.


Tim looks after the finance and business side of the practice, including dealing with insurance claims on behalf of our clients.


Outside work, and when not helping Vikki with all the animals at home, Tim enjoys taking photographs of trains at night.

Tim Moran MA FCA - Finance Director / Practice Manager

The smallest, yet most crucial member of the team, Toes't the Chihuahua is our Practice Micro-Manager, keeping a close eye on the details.


Toes't (pronounced "Toast") finds her duties very tiring and spends most of the day observing matters remotely with her eyes closed.


When not sleeping, Toes't likes to spend her time eating snacks and running around.
